Joke Chukwumah

Mrs. Adejoke Chukwumah, nee Adebayo, holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Economics and a second degree in International Economics & Banking, from the University of Wales, Cardiff.

She has extensive training both locally and abroad. Notable amongst which are: Citibank – New York: IMD – Lausanne, Switzerland: IESE –Barcelona, Spain, IE –Madrid, Spain: Cornell University – Ithaca, New York and Lagos Business School – Lagos. Nigeria. She commenced an 11 year career in Banking with Continental Merchant Bank, Lagos thereafter commenced fulltime employment with Chartered Bank. In 1992, she joined Guaranty Trust Bank Plc untill September 1998, having attained the position of Assistant General Manager. Her work experience covers educational provision, financial administration, credit, marketing, consumer & corporate banking.

In 2003, she established a trading company, Lucent Limited and decided to pursue her dream of establishing a school of international standard and repute – Children’s International School. Lagos, Nigeria.

Aside from her passion for Education, Mrs. Adejoke Chukwumah, is a non-executive director in many companies, including: Lucent Limited, Investment One Financial Services Limited: Investment One Funds Managers Limited and she is the Executive Director of Children’s International School,(CIS) Lekki.
She also sits on the Board of MAG Furniture Limited, Investment One Pension Managers Limited, and Children Developmental Centre, Keystage Educational Services and Chadstone Training Institute.She acts as a mentor to young female business women and she is on the Advocacy Committee for Women on Boards for WIMBIZ and a member of IOD.
